Case Study: GIDEON Commercial Roofing

01 — Project Background

GIDEON , a commercial roofing startup, was struggling to build its website and develop a content strategy. They were coming up on multiple project deadlines with little to show after months of back-and-forth.

They hired me to accomplish three things:

  1. Clarify and refine their content marketing strategy.

  2. Write all website copy and collaborate with the web development team to launch by their original deadline (just 4 weeks away).

  3. Develop all content marketing processes and produce content on a consistent cadence.

02 — Solutions Implemented

I conducted extensive interviews with leadership and former GIDEON clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of GIDEON's DNA as a company: their values, their ideal customer, their unique positioning, and their long and short-term goals.

I then created their buyer personas and brand story, which formed the foundation on which their website copy and content roadmap would be built.

Following this, I collaborated with the web development team to write the website copy and launch in 4 weeks, meeting their original deadline despite joining more than 75% of the way through the project.

Finally, I developed a content roadmap, created the systems and processes for ongoing written content creation, and began publishing on a regular schedule.

03 — Results

We achieved a 2X increase in SQLs, first page SERP rankings for over 200 keywords, and 1,000 unique visitors per month rapidly after launch.
